On December 10 - Human Rights Day - two of our authors were awarded the Max van der Stoel Human Rights Award 2009.

Stef Vandeginste won the first prize for his doctoral thesis Law as a Source and Instrument of Transitional Justice in Burundi which will be published in our Series on Transitional Justice and Laura van Waas won the second prize for her book Nationality Matters.
